The secret ingredient is...
Despite the world literally and figuratively being on fire, Context has made some great strides these past few weeks. Here's some much needed good news.
The main points:
It's Alive! - Front End. Data Pipeline. Back End. SDK. It's all built, it all talks to each other, and users have tested (almost) all of it!
We've pivoted (sort of) - The more we talked to customers, the more obvious it became. Customers are really interested in our core product, plug-and-play experimentation for teams heavily invested in Segment. No more event monitoring or automatic result detection.
We have a secret ingredient - Simon Korzun has been quietly toiling in obscurity over the last several months, splitting his time as a Context Co-Founder and a Tech Lead at Slice. Starting next week, he'll be working full time at Context.
What's new and why would someone choose us over existing solutions?
We're a better product - Context lets you experiment with all the events and properties you already track in Segment, calculates results faster than traditional methods, and gives you control over the data experiments generate so you can build your own dashboards and models.
Integration is shockingly easy - Context is just a Segment destination and React SDK. We've seen teams spend weeks, or even months integrating Optimizely and Split. We're shooting for an integration time of 3 hours or less.
Transparent Pricing - We don't bill on impressions or other made-up concepts. Your bill is simply the number of users that see an experiment. Our back of the envelope calculations puts that at ½ to ⅕ the competition.
Thank You
To the many Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Engineers who have already tested the product, thank you! We've learned from every single one of you!
On a Team That Uses Segment and React? Reach Out!
We’d love to walk you through the product. It’s hard to describe how energizing it is to see our users have that ah-ha moment and hear them say “Wow this is so… easy!”
We're in talks with several companies to be beta customers and are looking forward to finally getting Context into production.
Stay safe and stay tuned,
Eric and Simon (The Context Team)
